OpenSourceGov:About

This site has been built to provide a comprehensive resource on the use of open source software within government.

The catalyst for starting this was the Open Source, Open Standards and Re–Use: Government Action Plan published by the Cabinet Office on 24 February 2009.

Please note that this site is a community effort, which is not funded or officially supported by the UK government in any way.

For government to make informed decisions about open source and free software, it needs to understand it. Hopefully, everything anyone could possibly need will be on this site.

OpenSourceGov is a wiki, which means that anyone with an account can edit it.
